Yamhill County Historical Museum is at 605 Market St. The museum has two buildings containing an extensive collection of county artifacts spanning the 19th and 20th centuries. The 1892 Poling Memorial Church houses displays from the pioneer days, including a bedroom, parlor and kitchen with period furnishings, doctor's and dentist's tools, historic photos and dolls. Among the numerous miscellaneous displays are an 18th-century clock with wooden gears and a giant pickled cucumber once featured on the “Ripley's Believe it or Not!” TV show.
The adjacent Miller Log Museum has Native American basketry and pioneer tools and furnishings, including a rope bed. The quilt collection dates from the 1850s to the present.
