Pros: I appreciate the hot breakfast options available daily, and the fact that after 9pm the pool is for adults only. There's an elevator for those who need/want it (three floors; I used it only when I had luggage with me). Great location right on the beachfront; tremendous views and a very short walk to the end of the block beach access -- for walking or even driving down to park directly on the beach. Easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops as well. Bed was very comfortable; mini-refrigerator and microwave in the room is a great convenience. I also appreciate real mugs and glasses, not just plastic/paper products.
Cons: I've been to the Coho before, and for all it has to offer, I'd go back again. Though I'd hope fro improvement in some areas: Small hassles... Switching the TV from cable to DVD player could not be done with remotes (menu/input), but only from manipulating a recessed button on the bottom of the TV. Not difficult, but nothing I would have intuitively discovered myself and there were no directions provided at check-in or in any of the printed material in the room. One phone call as a front desk gal tried to explain over the phone, then said she'd send someone right up; a second phone call 20 minutes later...and then a guy (limited English) arrived to demonstrate...and to hook up the sound, which was not hooked up with the DVD player. My room key cards had to be reprogrammed once (though I had kept them separated from phones, magnetics and all devices). One morning, room service knocked and then tried to enter the room (I had the door latched shut) before I could get to the door even though I had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door handle (maybe again partly because of very limited English?). They also came to clean the room around 9am on the day I was to check out (at 11am) -- I told them to come back after 11am. All of these were relatively minor, and easy to fix. But a little disappointing as they could/should have been easy to avoid completely in the first place.
