AAA Editor Notes
Marys Peak is 10 mi. w. on SR 34 to Marys Peak Rd. The scenic area is home to the highest peak in Oregon's Coast Range; the area surrounding the mountain is sometimes snow-covered during winter. A 9-mile paved road climbs within .5 mile of the 4,097-foot summit, and visitors can walk to the peak for a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Cascade Range to the east. Five trails of varying difficulty cover approximately 9 miles.
Note: The road to Marys Peak is not maintained for winter travel. Forest visitors should plan for winter driving conditions and be aware that conditions can change quickly and can vary widely at different elevations. Snowfall may limit vehicle access.
Picnicking is permitted.
