Cape Blanco State Park is 4 mi. n., then 3 mi. w. off US 101. The park was named by Spanish explorers for its chalky appearance due to a concentration of fossilized shells. Camping is available year-round. Pets on leash are allowed. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
Park free. Lighthouse guided tours $2; free (ages 0-15).
