AAA Inspector Notes
This is a trendy, upscale hotel with sleek and contemporary décor throughout. Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs adorn the walls. Some of the lobby's art pieces change on a regular basis, so you're sure to discover a new piece on each visit. Many guestrooms are compact, so those looking for more space might want to spend a little extra for a corner room. If you're looking for a bit more quiet and don't care about a view, then one of the interior rooms that look out at a basic lightwell might be a great choice. Smoke free premises. 127 units. 9 stories, interior corridors.

Very clean, great lobby, wonderful staff. The only problem: room was way to small to be called a four star hotel. More like a rock solid 3 star hotel. Great hotel to stay at one night if you have never been to Portland -- able to scout other locations to stay at.
Pros: I really liked that the hotel was centrally located and everything was easy to get to. The concierge was wonderful -- supplied a map, offered suggestions, and went far and beyond to making my stay in Portland comfortable and pleasant. The gym was great.
Cons: No free parking. Be prepared to add $40 a day to park. For a "boutique" hotel, the room was extraordinary small. Open the door and there was the bed with very little room to walk around -- for a minute I thought I was in Japan with cramped housing.

Pros: Location awesome, interesting decor. There's a great restaurant next store with award winning pork belly taco. It's the best we ever tasted! Unfortunately we had to sit in the far corner to escape the air freshener smell. All staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Obnoxious, cancer causing time released air freshening parfum at the lobby and near elevators which also permeates into the adjacent restaurant. My husband and I had instant headaches and if we hadn't prepaid we would have turned around and walked out.
