Pros: It is an experience! Great location, several bars in the hotel, it is like a hip resort in the best neighborhood.
Cons: Room was on the small size
Pros: The converted school was absolutely charming -- almost magical. We also took in a free movie, and the Portland arts district is an easy walk away -- a must for anyone staying here. We spent an hour window-shopping galleries and deciding on a restaurant. Such fun!
Cons: The bed was too soft for my taste, but oh well.
Pros: loved the soaking pool.
Cons: There really needs to be a large shelf or small table in the bathroom to put "stuff" on.
Pros: Tall ceiling with fan - good air circulation.
Cons: Front desk not sure how to get from union station to hotel. "Just take a taxi."
We figured out 2 different public bus routes next day.

Pros: I liked the atmosphere, the art, the movie theatre, and the location.
Cons: The room was poorly lit, which turned out to be very annoying, given the gloomy weather.
Pros: Atmosphere overall was chill. Great after busy workday.
Cons: Rooms are a bit small and food is mediocre.
Pros: The room was perfect. It was quiet and very cozy. The added amenities are all just a plus.
Cons: That I could only stay 1 night.
family with young children
Pros: The eclectic nature of the hotel was endearing and wonderfully created.
Cons: I forgot my jacket in the room and even before check out I was locked out of the room. The staff did come and open the door but I had to get to the airport. It was a little stressful
Pros: Friendlines and willingness to assist and accommodate attitude of all employees we encountered was wonderful. It was obvious employees were happy and enjoyed their work and felt valued. Facilities were delightful. We enjoyed the soaking pool, theater, boiler room, courtyard cafe and the lobby coffee bar. We also enjoyed a walk to the park and through the neighborhood and some of the shops. We appreciated having parking provided. Our stay was short but thoroughly delightful. Thank you!
Cons: Lighting could have been brighter in room.
Pros: The front desk staff was excellent and very helpful. Enjoyed the soaking tub...a bit crowded in the evening with the public included. Enjoyed the coffee in the English wing in the morning. Glad the rooms were so clean!!!
Cons: Bed was too hard. Host in the restaurant was just opening at 7:05 am, was kind of rude when he approached me and another guest. Said to us, "hang on folks I'm not open yet". A better comment would have been to apologize for being late and to let us know he would be helping us soon! He proceeded to do some tasks for about 15 mins, so I left and came back later.
Pros: I travel for a living and this was one of the most enjoyable stays I've had. The uniqueness and attention to detail was incredible. I will definitely be back.
Pros: Nice art.
Cons: No refrigerator in room. No microwave. No ice machine. More for a single night getaway
