Pros: The location of this hotel is really great. Also, the staff was very friendly and courteous. The food was good too.
Cons: The rooms were definitely not 4 Star quality. The building looks really old. There was no refrigerator inside the room, just a box with all the minibar items placed in it. The minibar bottles and snack packs were dusty. The bed was also small.

Pros: The room décor was great.
Cons: It's a little awkward getting into the hotel from 10th St. The floors on the 5th floor creaked a lot. The (one) elevator is difficult to find (the desk clerk walks you to it).

Pros: The charm and character and location cannot be beat! It was cold outside so we spent the whole weekend indoors, eating all our meals at Jake's, and venturing out to shop just once.
Cons: The room was not as clean as I would expect for the star rating. There was dust on all the paintings and you could see it on the wall, which isn't that great for my husband's allergies. We found two hairs in the shower which was kind of gross.

Pros: Loved staying in the heart of Portland. Our location was perfect for walking to theatres, restaurants, Powells, REI, EVERYTHING! The Sentinel is old-style, classy and funky. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Staff for professional and helpful.
Cons: Bathroom did not seem to be heated?
