Yaquina Pacific Railroad Historical Society is 3 blks. s. of US 20 Bus. Rte. behind the post office at 100 N.W. A St. Visitors may enter the restored railway post office car (Southern Pacific #5132), which contains museum displays, photo archives, railroad memorabilia and a research library. The Southern Pacific caboose #573 is said to be the oldest restored wooden caboose in the Pacific Northwest. “One Spot,” a 1922 Baldwin steam locomotive, is under reconstruction on the site.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
