Breakfast was normal fare but was tastey send us on our way satisfied.
Cons: Odd getting to and out of the facility due to the frontage road location. The road is one way running opposite directions on either side of the freeway. To get out going east or back to the facility you have to drive about a quarter mile one direction on a one way street, cross under the freeway and drive back on the one way street to get to the exit. Same if you were headed to the outlet store just a block from the hotel.

Pros: This is a well kept clean hotel with friendly staff and a nice breakfast with a variety if items. They served soup and cookies in the early evening that came in handy on one of our eat in nights. The fridge came in handy, the beds are very comfy and the location can't be beat. It's in a fairly quiet industrial area and once inside you cannot hear any noise from the air field or the highway. The Dairy Queen in front is a little bonus for those with a sweet tooth!
Cons: The only suggestion I would pass along is to remember to clean behind the bathroom doors.

Pros: Very clean, well-maintained room with nice free Wifi, fridge, and microwave. Views of Troutdale Airport (little planes and helicopters; quiet at night). Much cheaper than downtown Portland hotels. Continental breakfast included some hot items too (scrambled eggs, sausage). Served as a base for Columbia River Gorge hikes. Despite proximity to interstate highway, I didn't hear much noise.
Cons: You need a car to use this hotel, which forces you to find and pay for parking when visiting downtown Portland. I think people in Portland see Troutdale as "another country" even though it's about five minutes to the Portland border.

Pros: But it was a great location--not "in town," but close enough to be handy. And the staff were wonderful! Breakfast was awesome, too--thank you! And having the tub and toilet in their own room, *not* including the bathroom sink, made it more convenient.
And I loved the "wildflowers" on the bank under our window--and I loved that we could open the second-story window for fresh air! Thank you! Then to add frosting to the cake, as it were, when I was awake in the night, I could even hear a frog singing "Ribbit! Ribbit" between the traffic sounds. Perfect!
Overall, we had a good experience with Comfort Inn. Thank you!

Cons: The shower was wimpy--not much water pressure. And the bed was too firm [though I realize that's a matter of individual taste]. The art is certainly not anything one would be tempted to abscond with!--which might be one reason it is what it is: "ugly" keeps it safe. ;) The lighting over the sink was pretty dim, which is okay unless one is doing makeup [I took mine over to the window, glad I had a hand mirror--and glad I was working in daylight!].
