AAA Editor Notes
Cape Perpetua Visitors Center is 3 mi. s. of Yachats off US 101 within Siuslaw National Forest. A movie describes the natural forces that shaped the Oregon coast. Displays interpret the ecology and history of the area.
Nearby are the Devil's Churn and Cook's Chasm. Cape Perpetua Overlook, 2 miles off US 101, the highest point on the Oregon coast accessible by vehicle, provides an excellent view of the coast. The giant spruce tree located on the Giant Spruce Trail has been designated as an Oregon Heritage Tree.
Camping is available at Cape Perpetua from mid-May through Sept.
