AAA Editor Notes
Rock Ford Plantation, 881 Rockford Rd., is on 33 scenic acres surrounded by Lancaster County Central Park. The preserved 18th-century Georgian mansion (built circa 1794) of Edward Hand, Adjutant General to George Washington during the Revolutionary War, remains essentially architecturally unchanged. Collections of late 18th- and early 19th-century American furniture and decorative arts are on display. Special events are held, including Yuletide tours in December.

Guided tours are available.
