Ryerss Museum and Library is at 7370 Central Ave. in Burholme Park. This Victorian house is on a hilltop and was built by the Ryerss family in 1859 to be used as a summer home. Since they loved animals, much of the interior is adorned with pieces related to animals including numerous portraits, and there is a pet cemetery on the grounds. Furnishings include Colonial and Victorian antiques as well as art and artifacts from Asia, the Americas and Europe. The house also includes a lending library.

Guided tours are available. Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
