AAA Editor Notes
Berks History Center, 940 Centre Ave., contains displays that depict local history, including fine arts, industry, transportation and Pennsylvania German arts and crafts. A museum displays changing art exhibits and an antique transportation collection including a Conestoga wagon, a 1902 Duryea automobile and a horse-drawn streetcar. Temporary exhibits also are offered. Across the street, the Berks History Center Research Library collection includes 30,000 photographs, almost 600 maps, newspapers dating to 1796 and other items relating to Berks County history and genealogy.
