Indian Steps Museum, 4.5 mi. n.e. on SR 425, then 1 mi. s.e. on Indian Steps Rd., houses Native American relics. More than 10,000 animal and Native American artifacts from 500-10,000 years old are imbedded in the walls, floors and exterior walkways of the century-old building. Also on display are locally found artifacts, including baskets, pottery shards and native clothing as well as dioramas. A nature trail winds through 26 acres of wooded hillsides.
Guided tours are available by appointment.
Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
