Da Vinci Science Center, 3145 Hamilton Blvd. Bypass, includes more than 100 interactive science exhibits designed to entertain and inspire. A 72-foot dark tunnel; a saltwater aquarium; a fossil wall; bugs, butterflies and other critters; and Newton riding chairs are featured as well as GyroSphere, a gyroscope-style ride. The lobby memorializes Leonardo da Vinci's design for a horse sculpture, which was completed more than 500 years later with the help of Allentown native Charles C. Dent and others.
An area with activities designed for preschool children is available. Live and recorded programs also are offered throughout the year.
