Clyde Peeling's Reptiland, 6 mi. n. of I-80 exit 210B on US 15, provides close-up views of more than 40 species of alligators, tortoises, lizards and frogs. Some of the snake species included are cobras, mambas, pythons and vipers. Komodo dragons and Aldabra tortoises are on display in a naturalistic habitat. Visitors can watch a multimedia presentation about reptiles as well as lectures and feedings. Behind-the-Scenes tours provide a look at the care facility, handling procedures and animal husbandry. Seasonal butterfly and dinosaur exhibits and other special events also are offered. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
