Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village is 3 mi. w. off SR 50, following signs. Meadowcroft Rockshelter is an excavated site featuring evidence of North American inhabitants dating back 16,000 years. A re-created 19th-century rural community with a one-room school, a working blacksmith, a covered bridge, a re-created 400-year-old Native American village and a 250-year-old frontier trading post are included. Interpreters in period clothing are available to answer questions.
