AAA Inspector Notes
While room sizes vary wildly, all offer lovely amenities, including locally commissioned artwork, leather ergonomic desk chairs, plush embroidered comforters and bathrooms with marble tile floors. Adjacent to the Moravian historic district, this nine-story brick hotel retains architectural features from its 1922 construction, including a brass mail chute that can be seen on each floor. Thrill-seekers may want to try to book room 932, "the room with a boo," which has had an interesting record of paranormal activity over the last few decades. Smoke free premises. 128 units. 9 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: Wanted to find an area to rate 9 instead of 10 so that ratings would not look skewed however everything was a 10, some were an 11, this hotel was awesome, the staff, room, location far exceeded our expectations. This should be a 4+ star hotel.
Cons: Not a thing.

Pros: Very nice classic looking hotel. Not modern or posh but that's not what they are going for. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the rooms were very quiet. Absolute perfect place to stay for Musikfest if you want to be right in the thick of things.

Pros: The hotel truly is a historic treasure. It's updated and comfy, but still elegant and preserves the historic architectural beauty. The Tap Room had lighter fare and live jazz. Excellent service. Set in a wonderful town.

not what we expected
Pros: pillows were too soft, for this price give me 4 assorted pillows to pick from.
Cons: OVERPRICED no tub no pool no hot tub,. for this price a breakfast should be provided. There was a lobby section reserved for hotel guests. It was not enforced so outside people partied where we should have had a place to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds.
