I was very, very displeased...
Pros: We left prior to breakfast hours, so I cannot rate that and the rest of the experience was not great. I did like the shower. It was a very nice shower head.
Cons: Let me start by saying that the pictures on the website are NOT what you get. The room is very dark and dingy looking. The displeasure with the stay began when we first pulled into the parking lot. The location is attached to a gas station and a fast food restaurant. The traffic in and out is entirely too heavy and makes it difficult to maneuver and nearly impossible to make a left hand turn out of the parking lot (as a matter-of-fact, we walked to dinner just to avoid having to deal with any of that). We then entered the building and approached the gentleman at the reception desk. He barely acknowledged us, was not very friendly at all and not very helpful. He was rather abrupt actually. We went to our room which was on the ground floor directly across from the pool. That was not the issue, however, as soon as we walked in the odor of stale cigarettes and dirty, wet dog hit us immediately. I can't say that the room was dirty, however, it smelled so bad that it was intolerable. I did not go to the office and mention anything because of the above information regarding our "greeting". I knew that I only had to stay one night and was leaving very early in the morning, so instead, we found a grocery store and I purchased a can of Lysol spray and Lysol wipes. We went back to the room and I sprayed all of the carpeting, cushioned chairs and curtains. It helped with the horrible odors enough for us to shower, sleep a few hours and leave. I believe we left by 5:00 am, maybe a bit before that. I also used the Lysol wipes on anything that I thought needed it (TV remote control, door knobs, toilet seat, etc.) As I said, it didn't appear to be dirty, however, the smell made me feel like it wasn't sanitary at all. I am guessing that it used to be a smoking room back in the day when smoking was allowed, but I don't think that the walls or carpeting was ever properly cleaned.
