National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa (chen-sto-HO-va) is 1.5 mi. n. on SR 611, 1.5 mi. n.w. on SR 313, then 2 mi. w. on Ferry Rd. On a picturesque tract of 250 acres, the shrine includes a monastery, a visitor center, a rosary garden and a cemetery. The upper church's striking stained-glass windows depict 1,000 years of Polish Christianity. “The Holy Trinity” sculpture is above the altar area; below the sculpture is a copy of the icon “Our Lady of Czestochowa.” A small exhibition hall in the visitor center displays religious relics and artwork.
