Historic. Pearly Baker's Ale House has a lot more style than you might expect for a building that got its start as a YMCA. It was built in 1863 and converted to a restaurant in 1935, with the present dining room still reflecting that style. Historic memorabilia decorate the walls throughout, while the lounge features a 50-foot marble bar and a skylight with open-tram windows. The affordable menu changes with the seasons and focuses on steak, seafood and pub classics.
