AAA Inspector Notes
This B&B, parts of which date back to 1757, offers individually decorated guest rooms, many furnished with period antiques. The inn served as a hospital during the Confederate Retreat. Many famous people, from Patrick Henry and Thaddeus Stevens to generals Robert E. Lee and J.E.B. Stuart and the Eisenhowers have been hosted here. Every Friday and Saturday evening a Civil War era magic show with dinner is put on, reservations are required.
