A relaxing mood here as the Summer season starts and school is letting out. The chance of summer vacation and family times by the lake lies ahead!
AAA Inspector Notes
A boat dock in the back allows diners to arrive by land or by sea. Nautical themed and laid-back, the menu here is diverse enough to suit all tastes—not just seafood lovers. Grilled blackened tuna, grilled swordfish or calamari with a tangy tomato dipping sauce are the standouts, but so is the New York strip steak. A long-time, popular favorite for lakeside vacationing families, this restaurant with a friendly service staff is packed from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Originally on the site was the much loved Sunset Grove Restaurant opened by New Yorker Jack Rose in the 1970s. After Rose's passing, The Woodloch Family, who are locally prominent, purchased the property and reconstructed it as The Boat House.
