ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is at 201 Park Ave., opposite Hersheypark; during Hersheypark's season, visitors can also enter via a walking bridge from the Kissing Tower area of the park. This 11-acre zoo depicts native plants and animals from five North American regions: Big Sky Country, The Great Southwest, Eastern Woodlands, Southern Swamps, and Northlands. ZooAmerica cares for more than 200 animals representing more than 60 species. Visitors can pre-register to take the 2-hour After-Hours Tour, conducted by flashlight, to see animal buildings and the health center at night as well as to feed an otter, touch a reptile and hold a bird of prey. They also can pre-register to take the 2-hour Early Bird Tour to explore outdoor exhibits, feed select animals and watch an enrichment activity with mountain lions. Zoo schedule is subject to change in 2016; check ahead for updates. Picnicking is permitted.
$11; $9 (ages 3-8 and 55+). Admission to zoo included with Hersheypark ticket on same day. After-Hours or Early Bird tour $49; reservations with 72-hour notice are required.
