AAA Editor Notes
Bost Building, 623 E. Eighth Ave., serves as the visitor center for the Rivers of Steel National Heritage Area. The 1892 building was used as the Amalgamated Association of Iron and Steel Workers Union headquarters during the lockout and strike that same year at the Homestead steel plant. Rooms that were used by union leaders during the strike have been restored and there are changing exhibits related to the region's cultural and industrial heritage.
