AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Classification): The building and rooms have so much historic charm, including the gorgeous verandah (perfect for breakfast!) that overlooks the quaint downtown area.
Located in historic downtown, this 1840s inn features wrought-iron banisters and guest rooms that blend exquisite Victorian décor with modern amenities like large flat-panel TVs and free Wi-Fi. Restaurants and antique shops are just steps from the front door of this hotel, so you may not need to move your car during your stay. Smoke free premises. 44 units, some two bedrooms. 4 stories, interior corridors.

Pros: It is right in the heart of Jim Thorpe.
Cons: Although it was a non-smoking hotel, the elevator and lobby smelled of smoke in the morning. There was also a discarded piece of paper behind the night table.

Pros: We have stayed at a lot of 3+ star hotels. This is tops of all we have tried. Not the fanciest, but the classiest. Charming, historic decor, in room fireplace and jacuzzi Friendly, courteous staff Great restaurant/pub in house. Cannot wait to go back.
Cons: I suppose I could nitpick about the slightly inconvenient parking. But that is just a quirk of the town and really was very slight inconveninence.
