Johnstown Children's Museum is at 201 6th Ave. at jct. Broad St. and 7th Ave., on one floor of the Frank & Sylvia Pasquerilla Heritage Discovery Center. Many of the interactive exhibits introduce children to local history topics, including mining and steel mills. There is a water room where youngsters can learn about dams, rain, fish and municipal plumbing; a rooftop garden with native Pennsylvania plants; an area to learn about maps and city planning; role play and dress-up activities; and a coal mine-theme climbing structure. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$9; $7 (ages 3-18 and 62+). Combination ticket with Frank & Sylvia Pasquerilla Heritage Discovery Center, Johnstown Flood Museum and Wagner-Ritter House & Garden (valid up to 5 days after ticket is purchased) $12; $10 (ages 3-18 and 62+).
