AAA Inspector Notes
The handsome Greek Revival home overlooks the river and the Roebling Bridge, North America's oldest suspension bridge. Rooms offer cozy baths and various sized layouts in sleeping quarters. The downstairs breakfast area serves a light morning meal and the common room is spacious enough to allow for comfortable mingling. Western author Zane Grey, whose books and stories provided the basis for countless movies and television series, lived and wrote in Lackawaxen before moving to California to be near Hollywood. His nearby home is now a museum run by the National Park Service. Not evaluated. Facilities, services, and décor characterize a mid-scale property.
