Bube's Brewery, 102 N. Market St., is a mid-19th-century brewery that operated until Prohibition. Built by Alois Bube, a German immigrant, the brewery is 43 feet below street level, beneath a Victorian hotel that also houses three restaurants, a brewery museum and an art gallery.
