AAA Editor Notes
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is at 799 Pinkerton Run Road. The first phase of the gardens stretches over 60 acres, and includes trails through a meadow and woodlands. The 460-acre site near Settlers Cabin Park is reclaimed abandoned coal mining land, and will eventually have 18 themed gardens, five woodland areas, a visitor's center, an amphitheater, conference center and botanical research area.
Guided tours are available.
