Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center is w. on 2nd St. from jct. Main St. (SR 29), then n. to 105 Seminary St. This center interprets local Perkiomen Valley history and the history of the Schwenkfelders, a religious group that emigrated to the area in the 1700s to escape persecution in their native Germany. The center's collections include fraktur, handwritten and hand-colored documents; textiles; and objects relating to daily rural life from the 18th- to early 20th centuries.
