Elfreth's Alley, off 2nd St. between Arch and Race sts., is one of many narrow streets lined with houses that have stood since the days of Penn's Greene Countrie Towne. It is said to be the country's oldest continually inhabited residential street. House tours and information are available at the Elfreth's Alley Museum, 124 Elfreth's Alley.
