Ghost Tours of Philadelphia departs from Signers Garden at jct. 5th and Chestnut sts. This 90-minute candlelight walking tour through Society Hill, Old City and Independence National Historical Park takes visitors past places that are said to be haunted and includes a number of ghost stories. Stops on the route include Independence Hall, Washington Square and the cemetery at St. Peter's Church. Along the way you'll hear about early American history, folklore, and maybe even about Edgar Allan Poe's time in Philadelphia. Other tours also are offered on a more limited basis; phone for details.
