AAA Editor Notes
Museum of the American Revolution is at 101 S. 3rd St.; parking is not available at the museum, but there are nearby parking lots and garages. The museum covers all aspects of the American Revolution—the causes of Colonial rebellion; the Revolutionary War itself; and the war’s aftermath, both the good (creation of the United States) and the bad (the hardships felt by war veterans as well as the women, Native Americans and African Americans who did not receive full independence as a result of the American victory). Thousands of historical objects, including artwork and documents, are displayed in addition to creative interactive exhibits. Temporary exhibits also are offered.
Guided tours are available. Food is available.
