Penn Museum, 3260 South St. on the University of Pennsylvania urban campus, displays outstanding archeological and anthropological collections from around the world. Exhibits include artifacts from ancient Egypt, Asia, Central America, North America, Mesopotamia and the Mediterranean. Visitors can see conservators at work on Egyptian mummies in an artifact lab. Special events are held throughout the year. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$15; $13 (ages 65+); $10 (ages 6-17 and students with ID); free (military with ID). Combination ticket with Mütter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia (on-site purchase only) $26; $22 (ages 65+); $16 (ages 6-17 and students with ID).
