Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building is at 2525 Pennsylvania Ave. at jct. Fairmount Ave., across from the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This 1927 Art Deco building (formerly the Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Co.) is an extension of the art museum and features frequently changed exhibitions of contemporary art, including costumes, textiles, photography and fine craft. An art library contains about 200,000 items, including books and periodicals dating as far back as the 16th century as well as a full range of electronic resources. An audio tour by cellphone is available. Guided tours are available. Food is available.
$10; $8 (ages 65+); $6 (ages 13-18 and students with ID); visitors pay what they wish (first Sun. of the month). Combination ticket with the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rodin Museum, Mount Pleasant and Cedar Grove historic houses valid for 2 consecutive days, $20; $18 (ages 65+); $14 (ages 13-18 and students with ID); visitors pay what they wish (first Sun. of the month). Additional fees may be charged for special exhibitions. Cash only. Parking: $12 for up to 4 hours.
