AAA Editor Notes

The Rosenbach, 2008-2010 Delancey Pl., exhibits books, manuscripts and fine and decorative art collected by the Rosenbach brothers. Though not always on view at the same time, collection highlights include manuscripts by Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens and James Joyce as well as books once owned by Abraham Lincoln and Herman Melville. Other authors and political figures represented include William Blake, Lewis Carroll, Miguel de Cervantes, Bram Stoker, Phyllis Wheatley, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington. Guided tours are available.
(includes access to current exhibitions as well as a docent-led tour of the Rosenbach brothers’ 19th-century townhouse) $10; $8 (ages 65+); $5 (ages 5-18 and students with ID). Hands-On Tour additional $5.
Station: 15th-16th & Locust
Hours: Wed.-Thurs. noon-8, Tues. and Fri. noon-5, Sat.-Sun. noon-6. Tours are given on the hour. Last tour begins 1 hour before closing. Library available Wed.-Fri. by appointment. Hands-On Tours featuring select documents are offered Fri. at 3; advance reservations are recommended. Closed major holidays. Allow 1 hour minimum.
