Woodmere Art Museum, 4 mi. s. of Pennsylvania Tpke./I-276 exit 333 at 9201 Germantown Ave., has paintings and decorative art spanning the 18th- through 20th centuries. The Victorian home and art collection of Charles Knox Smith form the nucleus of the museum. Of particular interest is the collection of 19th-century American paintings, which includes works by Thomas Anshutz, Frederic Church, Jasper Cropsey, Edward Moran and Benjamin West. Changing exhibits often focus on local artists.
$10; $7 (ages 55+); free (ages 0-12, students with ID and to all Sun.). A fee is charged for jazz concerts.

Hours: Tues.-Fri. 10-5 (also Fri. 5-8:45), Sat. 10-6, Sun. 10-5. Jazz concerts are held select Fri. at 6 p.m. Closed major holidays. Allow 30 minutes minimum.
