Pros: Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Attractive decor. Continental breakfast adequate. Reasonable price for location.
Cons: Rm 302 shower pressure and temperature fluctuated during shower. Lots of stairs. No fridge in room ( had medication that needed to be kept cold so had to call front desk for ice multiple times- brought upstairs promptly and pleasently...just less convenient) Parking in public lot across the street was easy, but not inexpensive (even with the discount). Complimentary afternoon extras were not set out (and didn't choose to ask for them)

Pros: The ambiance is great. Location is perfect.
Cons: Was there for three nights and ate the same exact bfast for three mornings. No other options. The breads/pastry was the same so I kept wondering on freshness and how many people had touched them.

Pros: Morris House provides a rare and delightful, home-like setting in a city of large, overpriced chain hotels. My bedroom was large, with some antique furniture and had a wall of bookcases containing an eclectic selection of old books. The sitting room next to the hotel's small lobby offered a quiet place to meet with a colleague who was glad to escape from her conference hotel. (The Morris House is about a 15 minute walk from the Philadelphia conference center.) I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of noise, given the center city location and the fact that the hotel is so near a major hospital. Booking.com provided a last-minute discount rate when other hotels were full or exorbitantly expensive. This hotel tends to be fully booked for weddings at the weekends, but has good mid-week availability.
Cons: Not having a pop up toaster (rather than a toaster oven) at breakfast.

Pros: This was probably one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in, full of olde worlde charm yet modern and stylish. Warm, friendly recceptionists. The bedroom was more like a suite. The location was perfect for walking to the top tourist attractions in Philly.
Cons: Nothing.
