When I'm in the mood for a steamy bowl of matzoh ball soup or classic bagels and lox, this is my go-to stop. The fresh baked goods can't be beat!
AAA Inspector Notes
Classic. Since 1923, Philly has flocked here for Jewish deli staples like overstuffed sandwiches of corned beef, salami, brisket, pastrami, chopped liver or turkey in addition to tasty smoked salmon platters. The breakfast and entrée options are equally hearty. Menu prices are a bit high, but you're getting double to triple the amount of food which adds to the value. Your check is brought to your table with a sweet treat: chocolate chip cookies.
