Rodef Shalom Biblical Botanical Garden, near Carnegie Mellon University at 4905 5th Ave., displays more than 100 varieties of flora—each with a biblical name or reference. The one-third-acre setting is reminiscent of ancient Israel; a stream flowing through the garden represents the River Jordan. Parking is available behind the synagogue. Docent-guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
