Pros: I couldn't think of a better location for everything we want to see and do in Pittsburgh!!!!!! After a 7 hour drive from NY we were so happy to find parking across the street from the hotel. It was a flat rate $7 for Sat/Sun. Check-in was great. Although there was a small glitch in our reservation, the front desk clerk made sure to correct it and gave us the room we wanted - KING ROOM WITH RIVER VIEW. It's a bit pricey, but it was worth it. Magnificent view of PNC Park, Roberto Clemente Bridge and Heinz Field. The shower was great and they use Aveda products.. good stuff. Renaissance is 1.5 block away from Tako - a taqueria with sidewalk seating serving. It has a really cool vibe. We went after watching a Pirates game. It was a Saturday night. They had a DJ and the music was on point. Food and drinks were great! If you love tequila, this spot is for you. If you get the steak taco, just make sure to let them know how you like the steak -they served us medium rare, we had to send it back :( No biggie. The hotel is walking distance to Point State Park and a few minutes drive to Duquesne Incline. Grand View Overlook is a mile from the station. The hotel is also close to Market Square- check out City Works they have the best ribs in town!!! Last but not the least, Renaissance is walking distance to PNC Park. To get there we crossed Roberto Clemente Bridge which was closed to traffic for home game. We had an amazing experience in Pittsburgh and it all started from Renaissance. It exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it.
Cons: There was an event the night we stayed. It got crowded in the main lobby. Only 2 of the 3 elevators were working and sometimes it'll take a while.

Pros: Room service was awesome! And the bed was like a cloud, so comfortable. Overall a very beautiful hotel and staff were friendly and courteous
Cons: My "king with a view" on the 5th floor was actually a view of the room across the building, a light on the building, and if I craned my neck, I could see a bit of PNC park.
