Friendship Hill National Historic Site

Friendship Hill National Historic Site is 3 mi. n. on SR 166; self-guiding tours begin at the visitor center. The scenic 661-acre site features the Gallatin House, home of Albert Gallatin 1789-1832. Gallatin served as the federal treasury secretary for Presidents Jefferson and Madison. Gallatin also was an ardent abolitionist. More than 10 miles of nature and hiking trails wind through the site.
