AAA Inspector Notes
This historic hotel in the center of town is in a converted 100-year-old train station. Rooms are modern and the lobby has a stupendous Tiffany stained-glass skylight that adds elegance. The former train station has a sentimental attachment for area residents who remember that it was the transit point for their young soldiers, outbound and inbound, who went off to war. During the holiday season the large tree and seasonal decorations in the lobby delight families. Smoke free premises. 146 units. 6 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Cons: My toilet was filled with feces. It was clogged and gross. But I called the staff and they quickly got me another room.

Pros: Hotel's staff was extremely tactful and helpful during a tragic and traumatic event that happened during my stay there. They went out of their way to help, beyond what I'd expect, even from a well run hotel.

Pros: Very cool building being renovated and remodeled. Excellent restaurants and food. Staff was amazing.
Cons: Rooms are not very soundproof. You can hear every little thing in the hall, and we even heard music from the wedding reception in the ballroom.
