Pros: The pool area. Although there were no chairs when we tried to enjoy area our first night, and attendant would not let us get extras from outside.
Cons: The sound from hall and other room were very loud. Awoken at 3am by TV in next room. The bathroom space too small!. I was not happy with overall accomodations-sleep is important-especially when driving!

Pros: The best thing about our stay at the Best Western Shippensburg Hotel was the location. Since the purpose of our trip was to visit relatives in the Carlisle area, I was a bit concerned that we were a little too far south of where we ought to be. Those concerns were quickly alleviated by the proximity to Route 81 as well as the existence of various secondary routes that provided some scenic shortcuts to destinations such as Newville and Boiling Springs. The payoff was being able to avoid the heavier traffic in the Carlisle/Mechanicsburg area, and when it was time to go back home to North Carolina, we were already headed in the right direction! We also liked the fact that our stay here included breakfast and an indoor pool, both of which add to the overall value and quality of the trip.
Cons: My only complaint is that in order to maintain my daily intake of potassium, I had to bring my own banana to breakfast! Bananas have such a narrow window of ripeness that, to be enjoyed every day, they must be purchased in small amounts two or three times per week; therefore, many motels don't even try! On the other hand, I was quite impressed that the other fresh fruits that were available included blueberries, which aren't yet in season!

Pros: The pool and spa were nice. Didn't get to use the sauna because it wasn't warmed up after being on for 30 minutes. Loved the chocolate chips for the waffle. The king sizes bed was comfortable.
Cons: The hot breakfast items were cold. There was no gravy for the biscuits. The doors are thin and there were many sketchy people hanging out in the hallways in the middle of the night. I didn`t feel safe at all.

Pros: Clean hotel, decent price, nice pool area. Within short driving distance, there are some very good restaurants.
Cons: Walls and ceiling are paper thin, at least on the first floor. I could hear noise directly outside my windows and door, as well as from the second floor. There was some type of kid's birthday weekend, so between the noise of them running around on the second floor and monopolizing the pool all weekend, I couldn't fully enjoy the facility. Luckily, I didn't stay there to enjoy the hotel, so it sufficed for a place to rest my head while I was attending a mountain bike skills clinic nearby. If you're a light sleeper, bring your earplugs.

Cons: smell of cigarette smoke in the hall. the bathroom was to small.
