McConkey's Ferry Section, 7 mi. s. of New Hope on SR 32 at 1112 River Rd. within Washington Crossing Historic Park, focuses on the site where Gen. George Washington and his troops embarked on their historic crossing. The Mahlon K. Taylor House, the restored 1817 home of an influential businessman of the period, can be viewed from the outside (it is only open to large tour groups). Also depicted is the 19th-century village of Taylorsville, which grew as the Delaware Canal prospered.

Guided tours are available.

Tours daily 10:30-3:30, mid-Mar. through Dec. 31; Sat.-Sun. 10:30-3:30, rest of year. Last tour begins at closing. Closed some holidays. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
