Renfrew Museum and Park, 1010 E. Main St., houses the Nicodemus Collection of Decorative Arts within a 200-year-old restored German farmstead. The collection features ceramics, painted furniture, metalware and objets d'art from the 19th century displayed in a homelike setting. A visitor center offers a DVD presentation, a 200-piece Shenandoah pottery collection and a display of antique tools. The park has nature and hiking trails, and a 150-seat pavilion. Fly-fishing is offered on Antietam Creek. Guided tours of the museum house are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
Visitor center free. Museum $6; $5 (ages 65+); $4 (ages 7-12).
Hours: Park daily dawn-dusk. Visitor center and museum Tues.-Fri. 9-4, Sat.-Sun. 1-4, mid-Apr. to mid-Oct. Last tour begins 30 min. before closing. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
