Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, 10 mi. w. on SR 660, was formed by the Pine Creek River. Forty-seven miles long and up to 1,450 feet deep, it is the highlight of the Pennsylvania Wilds, a 2 million-acre area in north central Pennsylvania set aside for recreational opportunities. The area offers spectacular panoramas.

Leonard Harrison and Colton Point state parks encompass the east and west rims, respectively.
