Peter Wentz Farmstead, 2030 Shearer Rd., is an 18th-century Pennsylvania German working farm of more than 100 acres with a 1758 Georgian mansion furnished in period. The house twice served as George Washington’s headquarters during the Revolutionary War. Demonstrations of early 18th- and early 19th-century crafts and farming are given during special events offered throughout the year. Guided tours are available.
Hours: Tours on the hour Tues.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. 1-4. Last tour begins 1 hour before closing. Closed major holidays. Allow 1 hour minimum.
