Beaconsfield Historic House is at 2 Kent St. This 25-room residence was designed in 1877 for James Peake, a wealthy shipbuilder. Restored and furnished in Victorian style, the house features imported chandeliers, marble fireplaces, gas lights and central heating. The veranda and gardens offer a fine view of the harbor.
$5; $4 (students with ID); free (ages 0-6 except for special events); $14 (family).
